The National Sales Manager for  www.sawblade.com shows how to cut a Bowling Ball in half in under 45 seconds, just to see whats inside.

We are using the high production Velox Band Saw machine with the Rugged Tooth Q 1002 Band Saw Blade from www.sawblade.com, the leading internet distributor of bandsaw blades and related products. This is the first of our new Curiosity Series Videos, where we will be cutting all sorts of objects in half to see whats inside.

The Rugged Tooth Q 1002 Triple Chip Carbide Tipped Band Saw Blade performs where standard Bi-metal blades fail! This blade features an aggressive new tooth geometry that incorporates the latest in blade technology. In aerospace, steel service centers  or any production cutting environment, the Q 1002 will  make short work of high nickel alloys, Titanium, Inconel, composites, and other exotic materials. It is the tough job workhorse band saw blade!

The Q 1002 is one of our new Carbide-Tipped Band Saw Blades. These blades can saw tough materials that Bi-metal blades just are not engineered to cut. The Q 1002 features teeth ground from high-quality, micro-grained carbide cylinders, welded to a tough, ductile backing material. This carbide-tipped blade offers exceptional fatigue, shock and wear resistance, when cutting difficult machine steels, high-alloy metals, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Inconel and more.

The teeth are carbide tipped, which makes them harder and more wear resistant than bimetal or carbon steel blade teeth. The blade has a steel backing to make cuts in solid shapes. The blade is available with a choice of variable pitch or constant pitch. The variable pitch has a variable tooth size and gullet depth to reduce noise levels and vibrations and can remove chips efficiently. The constant pitch has uniform tooth spacing and gullet size for general-purpose cutting.
